The sky rumbled with a haughty authority, the sheer power of the thunder making the ground shake. The sounds rolled in with each quick flash of red hot lightning that back lit the black clouds. Two shadowy figures fled down the streets of Iwatobi, holding each others hands as they tried to keep ahead of the rain.

"It'll be quicker to go to my house." Makoto decided, glancing up at  street sign.

You eagerly nodded at the chance to get out of this terrible weather. Fat drops of rain started to drip from the clouds, soon gathering in large silver sheets water. The roads seemed longer than usual in your miserable state. You both stumbled around in the blinding storm, trooping up the steep steps to Makoto's home. He somehow found his keys in his sopping bag  to let the both of you rush inside.

"Thank goodness. I thought we were going to drown out there." You joked.

The brunet flicked the light switch a few times with no result. He groaned, raking back his matted hair. The power must have been knocked out from the storm. The house lay quiet in response to his frustration. His mother and father had taken the twins out with some family for the night.

"Here,  let me get you a towel." He suggested with a light smile.

You both ventured further into the house, leaving watery footprints on the floorboards. The storm raged on outside. You kept close to Makoto in fear of losing your way in the dark. He would have usually consoled the person into bravery, but seeing as you were hugging his arm quite nicely in response, he decided to be your brave knight for a while longer.

He lit a small candle in the bathroom to illuminate the situation. You were shivering in your schoolgirl uniform like a wet kitten. He frowned, pulling a few fluffy towels from under the sink.

"You should get out of those clothes. I'll go get you something to wear." Makoto promised before ducking out of the room.

He mused over what to get you. His mothers clothes wouldn't fit you, and his sister was too young to have anything suitable. Makoto turned into his own room to pop open his closet. His eyes landed on a spot of blue. Mm, perfect. He pulled a big baggy t-shirt from the top shelf. It may have been too big for his already titan like frame, but it would make the perfect night gown for his already petite guest.

He journeyed back to the bathroom to find a highly embarrassing view. When he said to get out of those clothes, you had been highly obedient. Your skirt and shirt were hanging off of the shower curtain rail to dry, with your shoes acting as storage for your stockings and underthings on the sink. You were sitting politely on the edge of the bathtub as the cold erupted goosebumps on your skin. Only a white towel saved your poor Makoto's innocence.

"Oh!" He closed his eyes tight in an act of chivalry. "You can wear this until your clothes dry."

He fumbled to put the shirt on the counter before shutting the door behind himself. You giggled in retrospect. He was such a sweetheart. Most boys would kill to have such a sight in their bathroom, but he wanted to politely give you your privacy. It was one of the many reasons why your had came to like your green eyed classmate.

The both of you had volunteered to stay late after school to clean up the science rooms. It was extra credit to brave the horrifying messes left in the chemistry sinks, so in the long run it would be worth it. The task hadn't been too bad with Makoto by your side. He made you laugh so easily, and talking with him came even easier. He had casually befriended you in class and you relished the close companionship.

No one really suspected the large storm brewing on the horizon. If anything, the forecast called for light showers. Said "light showers" had pounded the town of Iwatobi the moment the two of you stepped off the train.

You tossed the towel into a hamper of dirty clothes. The shirt Makoto provided you with looked soft and comfortable, just like him. You slipped on the new clothes and ventured out to the living room. A few more candles had been lit on the end tables. If it hadn't been out of necessity you would have thought it to be a bit romantic.

You heard Makoto return with a few creaks in the floorboards. You had already made yourself comfortable on his spacious couch and were trying to conserve heat. He came bearing a mountain of blankets, which you eagerly snatched up. Once you were snuggly warm and situated it gave you the chance to examine him.

    He was so damn attractive.

His hair was still damp from the rain, pushed back messily. A pair of dark rimmed glasses had manifested on his face. You knew that he only wore them while he was in private or felt comfortable with who he was with. You felt a little flattered, actually. A low slung pair of sweatpants hugged his muscular swimmers hips. The high V's of his pelvic divots peeked above the waistband.

You had to say, this wasn't the worst place a girl could be stranded in.

"I figure you can stay the night and ride the train with me to school in the morning. My parents won't mind. You already have your uniform and backpack here, right?" Makoto mused.

"Yeah. I texted my family, they just said to stay safe." You pulled one of the larger blankets over the both of you.

There was an intimacy in sharing a blanket. Your legs pressed against his heatedly, his arm pulling you closer for the sake of comfortably. His breathing was so steady and confident, it soothed your rapid heartbeat.

He was ashamed at how hard his hands were shaking as he held you. You were so sweet and cute. The fact that a guy like him even got to touch you was a blessing. You didn't notice his jitters, you were too distracted with your own. There you were, cuddled up with the boy you'd been crushing on since you were a first year. The two of you stayed reserved in your private anxiety attacks.

"Makoto-senpai?" You finally spoke with some minuet courage.

    "Yeah?"

    "I-I like you. A lot."

    "I like you too, (Name)."

    "No, like..."

"I know what you meant." He reassured you.

"And?" You could barely look at him, some embarrassment setting in on your nerves.

"Like I said, I like you too."

You looked up at him, amazed, your body pressed against his bare chest. He met your gaze with that kind smile that made your heart melt. He leaned down, his lips so close to yours you could feel the warmth of him breathing. Lightning cracked seemingly just outside the window.

"Makoto." You spoke again, not quite sure what you wanted to say to him.

He sealed your next few words tight against you lips, his soft pink mouth satisfying your craving for him. Your eyes drifted closed in utter extacy. Makoto pulled you down to the cushions so he could press over you. It was one of the most blissful moments of your entire life.

Outside, the storm continued to pour, crash, and rumble. The sidewalks had become little raging rivers. Strays sought dry shelter under shop awnings. The sky was wired with electricity. The storm remained oblivious to the Tachibana household, and the young love that blossomed within.

"Titan-like frame"
If you listen closely, you can hear Eren screaming in the distance about killing all of them.
